to receive advanced training from the fire academy at our expense.

NO PREVIOUS TRAINING OR EXPERIENCE NEEDED
We are not just looking for firefighters, we need any other help you may be able to provide. Some examples are:
secretarial, rehab (bring drinks to calls), drivers/pump operators, support staff, etc. Older or younger, it does
not matter.
THERE WILL BE A PLACE FOR YOU ON OUR DEPARTMENT!

To volunteer you must:
1. Live in our fire district or on the very edge of it. (See map)
2. Be willing to sacrifice your time and energy to the department.
Must attend meetings (2 times a month) and calls (roughly 5-7 per
month).
3. Be willing to take required training courses. Most will be taught at local fire departments near us or could
be held at our department.
4. Be 14 years of age or older, those under 18 will be Junior Firefighters
(Explorers)
5. Have a valid SC Class D Drivers License or CDL's (but a CDL is not a requirement)
6. Have no felonies on record for the past 10 years (per SC Law).
